SELECTION CRITERIA Academic Achievement in the Catholic Studies course completed to meet the eligibility requirements listed above.
PREFERENCE will be given first:
to a female student

Recipients will be required to provide the information needed to issue the award cheque and complete the Statutory Declaration.
In the interest of benefiting more students, candidates are not permitted to hold more than one Maureen Haynes Catholic Studies Scholarship for a given year.

GUAT KWEE SEE BURSARY AWARD
The Guat Kwee See Bursary Award celebrates the life and scholarship of Guat Kwee See, a devoted Catholic and author of Christian-Muslim Relations in Singapore: From Independence to Post-9/11. Guat served as the first Chairperson of the Centre for Interfaith Understanding in Singapore, helping the organisation grow and contributing to how the world thinks about faith and pluralism today. She dedicated her life to the quiet, serious, and patient work of building understanding between Christians and Muslims, as a calling. Her lifelong commitment to interfaith understanding was not only documented in research but also expressed in friendship across faith boundaries. This bursary award invites students to take interreligious understanding seriously, to serve others with humility, and to believe that genuine friendship across difference is rewarding.
