Recap: 2025 Prairie Symposium for the Common Good
On May 22-23, 2025, Campion College at the University of Regina hosted the annual Prairie Symposium for the Common Good, focusing on the theme “On Human Solidarity for the Common Good.” Six STM faculty members were privileged to present at the symposium, including Drs. Fachrizal Halim (Religion and Culture), Penelope Sanz (Religion and Culture), Saeed Moshiri (Economics), David McGrane (Political Studies), Charles Smith (Political Studies), and Cynthia Wallace (English).
The Prairie Symposium for the Common Good is a joint project shared by the Jesuit Centre for Catholic Studies at Campion College at the University of Regina, the Jesuit Centre for Catholic Studies at St. Paul’s College at the University of Manitoba, and the Irene and Doug Schmeiser Centre for Faith, Reason, Peace, and Justice at St. Thomas More College at the University of Saskatchewan. The annual symposia are interdisciplinary and interfaith, forging connections among scholars, institutions, and communities of faith.
